Massage
Slow, sustained pressure that unwinds the fascial web wrapping every muscle.
A gentle but profoundly effective technique that releases restrictions in the connective tissue surrounding muscles, joints and organs — restoring mobility, easing chronic pain and quieting the nervous system.
Fascia is the continuous web of connective tissue that wraps every muscle, bone, nerve and organ in the body. When it dehydrates, tightens or scars — from injury, surgery, posture or chronic stress — it can pull the entire body out of alignment and create pain in places that seem completely unrelated to the source.
Myofascial Release uses slow, sustained pressure held for two to five minutes at a time, allowing the tissue to soften and reorganize on its own. There is no rushing, no fast strokes, and almost no force. The work feels gentle in the moment but consistently produces lasting changes that deeper, faster bodywork often cannot.
Every session is fully customized. We start with a brief assessment to find the actual source of restriction — which is often nowhere near where you feel the pain — and then move through a sequence of holds, gentle traction and tissue glides that invite the body to release at its own pace.
What it does
Reaches fascial adhesions that resist traditional massage and stretching.
Improves range of motion in shoulders, hips, neck and lower back.
Headaches, jaw tension and sciatic patterns often resolve when the true source is released.
Softens scar tissue and improves circulation around healed incisions.
The slow, sustained pace shifts the body into deep parasympathetic rest.
Releasing fascial pulls allows the body to return to its natural alignment.
What to expect
A short postural and movement screen to identify fascial restrictions and the true source of pain.
Quiet, professional setup with a heated table and soft lighting in the room of your choice.
Slow, two-to-five-minute holds applied to identified areas, allowing tissue to soften and reorganize on its own.
Gentle movement, hydration and at-home self-care guidance to extend the benefits between sessions.
I bring everything needed — table, linens, products and music — to your home anywhere in greater San Diego. Appointments are confirmed by phone.
Frequently asked
Deep tissue uses focused pressure to break up muscle knots. Myofascial release uses slow, sustained holds with very little pressure to let the connective tissue itself reorganize. Both are valuable — but myofascial often reaches restrictions that deep tissue cannot.
No. The work is gentle, slow and quiet. You may feel an unusual stretching or melting sensation as the tissue releases, but it should never feel sharp or bracing.
Yes — especially. Myofascial release is one of the most effective modalities for old surgical scars, post-injury restrictions, and patterns that have been present for years.
Many guests feel meaningful change after a single session. For long-standing patterns, a series of three to six sessions spaced one to two weeks apart tends to produce the most lasting results.
Yes. I arrive with a heated professional massage table, fresh linens, premium oils and serums, calming music and any equipment your treatment requires. You only need a quiet room with a little floor space.
